Magazine Printing

Magazine printing information

Magazines are printed in many shapes and sizes and are either bound with staples (saddle-stitching) or glued (perfect-bound).

Magazine printing page layout
A magazine printing firm cannot print magazines with an odd number of pages e.g. 6, 10, 14, 18, 22 etc. The pages need to be multiples of four e.g. 4,8,12,16,20,24 etc.

Page inposition for magazine printing
Imposition is the process of arranging pages correctly prior to printing so that they fold in the correct order. Most printing firms will arrange your pages into the correct order for printing. Always check with the printing firm how to present your artwork for magazine printing.
